RMR testing

What is RMR Testing?

Resting Metabolic Rate testing measures the number of calories your body is burning at rest; this is your baseline energy expenditure. This information is very important in formulating nutrition, weight loss, and fitness programs based on your unique metabolism.

Utilizing indirect calorimetry, we measure with high precision the amount of oxygen your body takes in to convert food into energy. RMR Testing gives you a clear understanding of what your metabolic needs are-eliminating guesswork and hastening results.

Benefits of RMR TESTING:

  • Better Weight Management Planning: Without undereating or overeating, match your metabolic rate.

  • Optimizes Fat Loss: Pinpoints metabolic slowdowns that may hinder progress.

  • Better Fitness Results: Supports more effective training, aligns fuel intake with energy output.

  • Identifies Metabolic Adaptations: Helps identify slow metabolism or plateau factors.

  • Science-Based Planning: Data-driven results replace generic guidance.

  • Customized Meal & Macro Planning: This helps create a strategy in nutrition that works for your body.

  • Perfect for Any Health Objective: Weight Loss, Gain in Muscle Mass, Performance, or General Health.

What to Expect:

Your session begins with a short resting period to ensure accurate results. You’ll then relax in a seated or reclined position while breathing into a specialized metabolic analyzer for approximately 10–15 minutes.

The device measures oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide output to determine your resting energy expenditure. The test is non-invasive, comfortable, and requires no physical effort.

After the test, you’ll receive a detailed metabolic report explaining your caloric needs, macronutrient recommendations, and tailored suggestions based on your wellness goals. Clients often use these insights to create more effective, sustainable nutrition and weight-management plans.
